Brandy Oolong
Made from a special cultivar of the tea plant unique to Taiwan, this offering is a highly oxidized (85-90%) oolong tea that has only recently been introduced to western tea enthusiasts. Also known as Ruby-18 black tea, this style of oolong was initially created by crossing the Assamica tea varietal with the native tea plant to produce a tea that has become the favorite for tea enthusiasts of every age. When brewed, Brandy Oolong’s rich and amber brew hints of spice, cinnamon and sweet notes of malt.
Brewing Information
Brewing Tips: Our Brandy Oolong tea should be made with cold, filtered water that has been brought to a point just short of boiling (190-200° F). Using one rounded teaspoon of loose tea or one teabag for each cup required, pour the boiling water over the tea leaves. Brandy Oolong tea should be steeped for 3-4 minutes. Once the ideal brewing time has been reached, the leaves should be removed to prevent further steeping. Decant and enjoy!
