Mountain Kenya
Rich and full bodied with a pungent astringency and juicy brisk character, our Mountain Kenya tea offering is sourced from central Kenya’s Michimikuru Tea Estate. This region of Kenya is comprised of sprawling tea bushes that spread out across the land as far as the eye can see.
When brewed, this larger leaf tea selection has a bright liquor and a crisp finish with just a hint of that juniper note that is characteristic of good Kenyan teas. If you prefer your tea strong and robust, this is an easy drinking style of tea that will not disappoint.
Brewing Information
Brewing Tips: Our Mountain Kenya tea should be made with cold, filtered water that has been brought to a rolling boil (205-212° F). Using one rounded teaspoon of loose tea or one teabag for each cup required, pour the boiling water over the tea leaves. Mountain Kenya tea should be steeped for 4-5 minutes. Once the ideal brewing time has been reached, the leaves should be removed to prevent further steeping. Decant and enjoy!
