Ti Kuan Yin Oolong

brewing-information Description

Our Ti Kuan Yin Oolong is an excellent example of a traditional Chinese Oolong tea cultivated south of the Min River in China’s Fujian Province. Not as highly oxidized as our Formosa Oolong, the large curled leaves appear almost reddy-brown with a dark green tinge when they unfurl in the cup. This Ti Kuan Yin Oolong produces a golden, honey colored cup with a sweet, floral aroma and an orchid-like, delicate flavor when brewed.

Brewing Tips: Our Ti Kuan Yin Oolong tea should be made with cold, filtered water that has been brought to a point just short of boiling (190-200 ℉). Using one rounded teaspoon of loose tea or one teabag for each cup required, pour the boiling water over the tea leaves. Ti Kuan Yin Oolong tea should be steeped for 3-4 minutes. Once the ideal brewing time has been reached, the leaves should be removed to prevent further steeping. Decant and enjoy!
